Police officers in Nyamira County have launched investigations following the increased cases of theft in Rangenyo area.
Manga OCPD James Musyimi said materials such as cement and metals which were to be used to construct a water tank at Rangenyo area disappeared mysteriously.
“Water tank that was being constructed at Rangenyo area stalled after building materials was stolen by unknown people. We are investigating to arrest the thieves and taken them to court,” he said.
He noted that 200 bags of cement were stolen by the thieves who are yet to be known. Musyimi called on members of the public to help police with information which will lead to the arrest of the suspects.
“Anyone with information which will help security officers to arrest the suspect should report to police. Illegal dealings will not be allowed to take place in Nyamira,” said Musyimi.
The OCPD accused a contractor who was awarded the tender for failing report the matter to police in time.
