The Criminal Investigation Department in Nyamira County has launched investigation after six computers were stolen from three county ministries.
Addressing journalist on Tuesday in Nyamira town, the CID chief in Nyamira County Mr Joseph Nyaga noted that six computers were stolen from the ministry of Agriculture, Lands and the ministry of Health.
The theft has raised issues with Nyamira residents since it came only four days after the ministers in these ministries were suspended by the governor John Nyagarama over corruption allegations.
Armed police officers always provide security in those ministries during the day and at night. Nyaga said once investigations are over, Nyamira residents will get to know of the outcome.
“As the department investigating crime we have launched investigations. Once complete, the result will be made public,” said Nyaga.
