Police have launched investigations into an incident in which a man killed his wife and a-9-month old child at Ng’ondu B area in Mosop ward Rongai.
The suspect, Raphael Waweru, is said to have committed the heinous act on Sunday night but the bodies were recovered at around midday on Monday.
The suspect tried to commit suicide but was rescued with a knife lodged in his chest.
Addressing media after visiting the scene, Njoro sub-county DCIO Monica Mberege said police have started investigations.
The suspect was taken to Njoro sub-county hospital and later transferred to Nakuru Level 5 hospital.
According to neighbors, the man has been a drunkard and often picked quarrels with his wife.
The bodies were moved to Nakuru Level 5 hospital mortuary.
