Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire that blazed down Magena Boys dormitory in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to Magena police, OCS Charles Kirui over 100 students lost their personal effects after their dormitory burnt down under mysterious circumstances.
The police said this is the second dorm to go down into flames within a month hence sending fears to the entire school fraternity.
According to the police boss, the mysterious fire started at around 5 am when students were having the morning preps.
Kirui said the dorm that was hosting about 120 students exploded into flames in about ten minutes, making it difficult for the students and staff to contain it.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire that forced the school to close down for the second time.
He said the cause of the fire is yet to be established, with everyone at the school currently being treated as a suspect.
He expressed concern that despite having increased the number of guards to 7, after the first incident, the mysterious fire reoccurred.
The six guards are being held at the Magena Police Station for interrogation, ruling out a possibility of students being behind the fire.
