Police officers in Nyamira County have launched investigations after a body of a woman was found dumped at a road in Magwagwa area on Friday.
Confirming the incident, Manga OCPD James Musyimi said the body was found by passers-by who alerted the police.
"We have launched probe to know who the killers are because the body didn’t have visible body injuries. Preliminary reports we have is that the deceased was mentally ill,” said the OCPD.
He urged members of the public to provide information to police to help in arresting the suspects.
“The public should volunteer information to police to help in arresting the killers and arraign them in court to be charged over murder,” added Musyimi.
Musyimi assured that police will beef up security in the area day and night to protect lives and property.
The woman’s body was taken to Nyamira County Hospital mortuary.
