Police have saved a man in Nairobi after he was attacked by a mob on allegations that he had ballot papers.
The incident took place at Kilimani Primary School on Wednesday.
According to the crowd, the papers had earlier been stolen from the Kileleshwa polling station and sneaked to the location, which is Dagoretti North Constituency's main tallying centre.
The man however found safety after quick intervention of area OCPD Julius Muthee, MCA Moses Ogeto and MP Simba Arati.
"Please leave him to us...that's why we are here," Muthee pleaded with the crowd that was baying for the man's blood.
The crowd finally gave in, allowing police to arrest the suspect.
