The security personnel arrested the suspects on Tuesday night in Mtongwe, Majengo Mapya and Migombani areas following a crackdown comprising of a special team.

In an interview with Baraka FM, Likoni police boss Willy Simba said the suspects were arrested for allegedly operating their businesses without licenses.

He said the suspects are also accused of selling government drugs to patients in the region, instead of issuing them free as required by law.

The special team conducted a search in various premises across the county, where they nabbed assorted drugs which they believe were meant for sale.

Police also nabbed tablets and syringes estimated to cost millions of shillings.

The suspects are currently being held at the Likoni police station before being arraigned court.
