Police at Bahati Police Station are holding two male suspects in connection with brewing illegal liquor.
Confirming the incidence at Rurii Location, Kiamaina Ward, Bahati Constituency, Nakuru County, Bahati OCPD David Koskey said on Wednesday that they acted on tip-off and managed to arrest the two suspects and recover the illicit liquor.
Koskey said that the fight against the consumption of illegal brews will continue till all the brewers are arrested.
“The fight against illegal liquor must be reinforced to ensure youth are free of drugs,” said Koskey.
Koskey said, “Our officers with the help of Rurii chief managed to nab two male suspects and recovered 200 litres of kangara, and 20 liters of chang'aa.
He thanked the residents for providing the vital information and urged them to enhance the fight against the liquor
“The locals should continue supporting the government in eradication of illicit liquor.”
Koskey said that the suspects will be arraigned in court tomorrow to answer charges of being in possession of illicit liquor.
