Police in Eldoret have nabbed a university drop out suspected to be the leader of an M-Pesa gang terrorizing agents in Kitale, Machakos, Kakamega and Nakuru.

The suspect, identified as Nixon Koech, was arrested in Eldoret’s Mwanzo estate.

Confirming the incident, Eldoret West police boss Samuel Mutunga said the suspect had earlier been arrested, charged and released on bond.

“They use mobile phone numbers and stolen IDS to steal cash from the shops. We have been after them,” said Mutunga.

The police boss said officers have launched a man hunt for two women suspected to be members of the gang.
