Police have arrested 20 youths in Homa Bay County and confiscated weapons ahead of the ODM primaries set for today Monday.
ODM nominations are expected to take place in the eight constituencies in the region.According to Homa Bay police boss John Omusanga, the youths were planning on disrupting a training workshop for presiding officers at the Rangwe Girls High School.
"They will be arraigned in court tomorrow," Omusanga disclosed.
According to Nation, aspirants said they have been kept in the dark on where the tallying centres will be and the poll officials who will conduct the exercise.
Kasipul MP Oyugi Magwanga, now a Homa Bay gubernatorial hopeful in ODM, said the planning was hidden to the masses.
"I don't know the tallying centre and the poll officials until now and our efforts to have them meet us have been futile," he said.
"This is so unfair to us. The officials have repeatedly been reshuffled and we're not told," he added.
