An Anti-Stock Theft Unit officer who murdered his wife and child has been charged.

Constable Cosmas Biwott, 24, who killed his young family by firing up to twenty gunshots at their house in Subukia, was on Thursday charged before Nakuru high court Judge Maureen Odero.

The suspect reportedly committed the act on Tuesday night.

The officer will take a plea on March 15 and will meanwhile be remanded at the Nakuru Central police station.

 Biwott is said to have fled Suswa ASTU camp in Subukia after the shooting incident.

He was arrested on Wednesday in Nandi hills while riding on a motorbike.
