Kaiti and Kilome MP’s Joshua Kimilu and Thaddeus Nzambia respectively also led a group of 23 elected MCA’s in their first ever demonstrations since the opposition announced the Monday, Wednesday and Friday demos.
The duo is demanding for the ejection of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba from office. They accused him of bungling the August 8 general election.
Led by the first time lawmakers, the demonstrators walked through the streets of Makindu chanting anti-IEBC and Jubilee slogans.
The peaceful demonstrators blocked Mombasa road before causing a huge traffic jam as police kept vigil and patrolled in the trail of the protesters.
At some point during the protests Makindu District Criminal Investigations Officer Jimmy Kimaru engaged in a verbal exchange with the MPs.
The altercation was so heated that the cop pulled out a pistol, threatening the two lawmakers.
The leaders under one voice vowed that NASA will not participate in the repeat polls if their demands are not met.
