Police in Kisumu are investigating how a traffic police officer was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Nyalenda, Kisumu.

According to The Standard, the deceased police officer was found shot five times in the head amid claims that he committed suicide.

However, fellow police officers disputed the narrative that their colleague shot himself saying no way one can fire at himself more than once in the head.

Unconfirmed reports say that the officer was worried for his life after revealing that he got his wealth for escorting Hindu gods during last month's vetting exercise in the Lake side city.

The incident has left many wondering and speculation high that the officer could have been murdered.
