The officer, identified as Benjamin Lorum, was on Saturday morning found unconscious at the lodge.

Lorum had his clothes, gun and money stolen by the woman, suspected to be a sex worker, in what detectives are suspecting was a drugging case.

After he regained conscious, Lorum narrated how he picked the random girl to have a good time with her only to lose his Ceska pistol serial number E1411 with several rounds of ammunition.

He was also robbed Sh14, 000.

The incident happened at Kanu Street which is notorious with flesh peddlers.

Cases of sex workers drugging their clients are common in what is casually known as ‘dunga mchele atoboke’.

According to a Nakuru sex worker, drugging targets clients with lots of money or other valuable possessions.

Lorum was arrested after reporting the incident at Nakuru Central police station.

“The police officer is held at the Nakuru Central police station and is aiding in investigations,”said Nakuru OCPD Joshua Omukata.
