A police officer in Bondo has shot an invigilator in the arm and leg while supervising KCSE exams at Gagra Secondary School.
The invigilator, Simon Ongiti, was rushed to Bondo sub-county hospital after the incident that occurred at around 10.45am on Thursday.
Doctors at the hospital have said that the invigilator is stable.
According to Siaya county police coordinator Chrispus Mutali, investigations have begun to establish whether Sergeant Benson Asesa shot by accident or by intent.
"We are waiting to identify the degree of the injuries before the teacher can file a case," said Mutali.
Mr Asesa has already been withdrawn from the team supervising the exams at the school.
