A police officer working under the Special Crime Prevention Unit has been killed by suspected criminals at a bar in Kiambu. The detective was chewing miraa from his car at a bar in Tharaini 4am Friday when he was ambushed by the criminals, according to The Star. Mr Noah Katumo, the head of Special Crime, said the officer was taken out of his car, strangled before being slashed with a panga. The slain officer was unarmed during the attack, Mr Katumo revealed. Two people, including a guard at the bar, sustained deep panga cuts and are recovering in hospital.
