An administration police (AP) office lost his life on Sunday night after being stabbed.

The officer was apparently stabbed because of an unpaid debt.

Bernard Kasuku was an officer attached to the Matara AP camp in Kuria East sub-county.

The county police officer, David Kirui identified the attacker as Ghati Muhoni who is said to have been drinking with the slain officer before the incident took place.

Muhoni is said to have stabbed Kasuku in the neck after Kasuku failed to pay back the money he owed him.

The attacker is currently being looked for by the police and has gone missing in action.

Kasuku’s body was taken to the Migori Level 4 Hospital mortuary.
