The training was held on Saturday at Nyamira division grounds where selected officers from all Nyamira sub counties were given training by St.John's ambulance team.

The drilling exercise and training was conducted by Albert Oundo, who is the staff officer of St.John's ambulance from Kisumu branch, and according to Oundo, the training is aimed at equipping police officers to rescue people when accidents occur because they are the first people to reach at the scene.

"We are training police officers to rescue people during accidents because they are the first people who get to the scene of accident," said Oundo.

Oundo and his team also said that they train schools, organizations, factory workers and many more.

"We don't only train police officers but all categories of people; from students to factory workers and even private organizations," he added.
