Nyamira County Commissioner Joseph Rotich has said there are plans to set up a police post in Kebobora village in Bokeira ward in North Mugirango constituency to stem the rampant crime in the area.
Speaking to journalists in his office on Tuesday, Rotich said the area has been recording high crime, hence the need to set up the police post.
"There have been pleas from residents of being terrorised by robbers the recent one is where a man, his wife and a neighbour were killed before their bodies were set ablaze," said Rotich .
The commissioner added that the villagers have offered a house which will be renovated for use by the police officers pending construction of new houses courtesy of the CDF kitty.
He said are MP Charles Geni has set aside funds through the kitty for the construction of the police post.
