Two bodies of middle-aged men have been found dumped alongside the road in Kimiririthu village, Limuru sub-county.
The bodies were discovered by school-going children on Thursday morning.
According to police, the men could have been killed elsewhere and bodies dumped in the village.
Confirming the incident, Limuru police commander Mohammed Bakuli said investigations into the incident have been launched.
He told reporters that no identification was found on the slain men, adding that they could have been killed elsewhere.
“We have launched investigations into the incident where two bodies of middle-aged men were found today,” he said.
The police asked anyone with information on the killings to enable the arrest of culprits involved to contact law-enforcing officers.
Mr Bakuli further said that police will intensify patrols in a bid to tame cases of crime.
He said that the area has experienced a spate of insecurity for the past three weeks and called for collaboration between residents and the police.
“Security must be a responsibility for each and every one of us,” he said, adding that more security measures will be taken to curb crime.
He said they are working with both the county and the national government to address security problems.
