Police in Merti, Isiolo county are hunting for authors of a leaflet urging members of a certain community to vacate by November 8 failure to which they be beheaded.

The leaflet had been posted on a shop belonging to a non-local.

County police commander Charles Ontita said police have launched investigations over the threats.

"Officers are probing the matter to bring the suspect into book. No one is entitled to order people to leave their places with cheap threats," he said.

He warned locals against ethnic profiling.

"Locals should leave in peace. Threats will not be tolerated. Security teams will be on high alert day and night to curb any crime from taking place here", said Ontita.
