Police in Thika sub-county have launched investigations after the body of a middle-aged man was found with severe body cuts on a roadside this morning.
The deceased’s body was found in Gachagi slums, Makongeni market.
Confirming the incident, Thika police boss Shadrack Maithya said investigations into the incident have commenced. He said anyone culpable for the murder will be brought to justice.
“We have started investigations and anyone mentioned in this incident will be arrested and prosecuted,” the officer said.
“I urge anyone with information regarding the incident to report immediately and we will act.”
Maithya added that the man may have been killed elsewhere and his body dumped at the scene where it was found.
The man, who is yet to be identified, did not have any identification documents with him.
The body was taken to the General Kago mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination and possible identification.
