Police have recovered a fraction of the Sh50 million stolen at Thika town's Kenya Commercial Bank last week.
According to the Star, Sh17 million has been recovered.
Robbers broke into the bank on November 20 through an underground tunnel in a heist reminiscent of Hollywood movies.
But now three suspects have been arrested in relation to the robbery and are set to be arraigned today Monday as investigations continue.
The three have been identified as
Charles Mwangi Murakaru, 30, Halford Munene Murakaru, 32, and Julius Wainaina, 32.
Detectives from Thika police station recovered some Sh17,135,000 that was in various currencies including US, Canadian and Australian dollars.
"All cash has been transferred to KCB headquarters Nairobi for safe custody," police said.
