This is after the recent cancellation of the process in 36 stations across the country.

Jackline Nyambura, 23, and Tom Mwanza, 24, claim to come from financially unstable backgrounds and wished to clinch the job to help provide for their families.

Nyambura says that she had all the qualifications needed for the job and fails to understand why she was eliminated. She says the whole exercise was marred by irregularities.

“I was disappointed with the way the whole process was carried out. I observed openly as my neighbour gave out cash and was picked as I got eliminated,” she claimed.

Mwanza said he was eliminated for having discoloured teeth and wondered if his teeth were part of the qualifications.

"My teeth are brown because of the water we use here and there is no connection between my teeth and being a police officer. I was confident to get it but just because I did not have cash, I could not make it," Mwanza insisted.

The two are urging the IPOA to consider a repeat of the whole exercise nationwide rather than in just the 36 stations stated.
