Nairobi police commander Japheth Koome has rejected accusations that the police killed a seven-year-old in Pipeline estate.The tough-talking commander pinned the blame on riotous youths.The killing is said to have occurred during running battles between the police and youths in the area.A pregnant woman was also shot in the leg.Mr. Mutinda who is the dead boy's father was crestfallen when he addressed the media on the matter.''He was killed by people who were in civilian clothes but who were in the company of uniformed police.'' Mr. Mutinda said.Law enforcement officers have come under strong criticism from human rights organisations for excessive force that has resulted in deaths.The family has called for justice to be done.
