The other victim is said to have died as a result of bullet while undergoing treatment, with reports indicating he was shot in Mathare, one of the areas that has reported cases of unrest since Friday.

“So far we have ten fatalities. There are few injuries here and there following the skirmishes," he said.

The police force rubbished claims that his troops were killing innocent civilians, instead saying all those killed were criminals.

According to the Kenya National Human Rights Commission, 17 people had been killed by in Nairobi alone by Saturday morning, piling pressure on the government to halt the deaths.

Kenyans have taken to social media to condemn the killing of innocent people, with the recent case of a 10-year-old girl who was killed by the bullet being the main highlight.
