A man in from Njathaini in Gatundu North is nursing serious injuries after a man cut off his genitals in an alleged love triangle.
The 39-year-old Andrew Mwangi was attacked by the assailant who went underground after the incident.
According to the victim, his attacker accused him of having a love affair with his 56-year-old sugar mummy.
At the time of the incident, the attacker was drunk making it easy for the man to subdue him.
“He attacked me using a panga and a knife saying I would learn my lesson for having a love affair with his girlfriend. Since I was drunk, he overcame me and wrestled me to the ground before stabbing me numerous times in the legs, hands and head. He then cut off my genitals using the knife. It was very painful,” said Andrew as quoted by The Standard.
It was the villagers who rescued him when they heard his screams. They rushed him to Igegania Level Four Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
The shocking incident infuriated residents who went to the attacker’s home with the aim of killing him but was missing.
The attacker’s wife told the residents that he had left a note that he was going commit suicide at River Chania.
Gatundu North OCPD Reuben Muli said police are pursuing the attacker.
