Kisii residents have lauded the police force that undertook the recruitment exercise saying it was free and fair.
They claim the recruits who qualified for the exercise deserved the position as it was free and fair.
This follows an earlier directive by the president to recruit 10,000 officers to help combat crime in the country.
The previous exercise which took place early this year was alleged of being marred with corruption and bribery cases which saw the results being nullified in court calling for a fresh recruitment process.
“The exercise was free and fair I can ascertain. Even if I lost in I know those who qualified deserved it. There was no case of corruption,” said Joyce Moraa.
"We want to congratulate the unit that conducted the recruitment exercise. We hope to see the same spirit in the next time round,” said Hillary Oira.
