The police service sector is the most affronted government subdivision.
This is according to Machakos county governor Alfred Mutua.
Speaking on Friday shortly after holding a meeting with the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett, Mutua urged the government to actively fund and facilitate the service to help enhance security in the country.
"It is my view that Police have been neglected for long and 95% are wonderful and only a few spoil the image of the service," Mutua said.
Mutua further pledged to partner with all security agencies in the county in a move aimed at improving security in the county.
"In Machakos, I am keen on making Machakos the safest region. This is by partnering with all concerned and by ensuring crime is prevented and when it occurs, it is dealt with expeditiously," he said.
