The National Police Service Commission has promoted 200 officers to the rank of Commissioner of Police in the latest changes in command.

According to the Standard, police spokesperson Charles Owino is among the officers who have been promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police.

The officers were picked from all units in the National Police Service, with 83 officers picked from the Kenya Police, 83 from Administration Police and 46 from Criminal Investigations Department.

The officers include Mary Omari, Rosemary Kuraru, Bernard Nyakwaka, Tom Odera, Richard Kerich, Patrick Tito, James Tito, Shem Nyamboki, Samuel Mukinda, Wilfred Marwa, Peter Kilonzo, John Murage and Naomi Ichami among others.
