Police are still hunting for the owner of a seven-storey building, which collapsed, claiming two lives, in Kware, Pipeline Nairobi.Senator Mike Sonko has since called on governor, Dr Evans Kidero to order immediate sacking of construction officials at City Hall over the Monday night tragedy, which left several tenants injured, and unknown number missing.A child, and woman died in the incident, that saw 128 tenants accounted for.Speaking at the venue, Wednesday, Deputy Director at National Disaster Management Unit (NDMU) Pius Masai, said the house had been marked for demolition, due to its poor structure and foundation.
He also indicated that a neighbouring building is risky to tenants housing it, and demanded that it should be marked for demolition.The rescue team and the military are still at the scene, with machines continuing with rescue operations, since it is believed more tenants are still missing.
