Raila Odinga led his Nasa brigade to their rival, Jubilee Party's stronghold, of Tharaka Nithi county, Friday.
The team was warmly welcomed, with hundreds of locals turning up for a public rally in Chuka town, and areas such as Kairuni, Magutuni, Kathwana, Tunyai and Kibunga.
Security was heightened in the region, which President Uhuru voted overwhelmingly, for Jubilee.
However, a group of Jubilee Party supporters, wearing Jubilee Party-branded t-shirts tried to block the Nasa caravan at Marimba, as they chanted UhuRuto slogans.
Their attempts were however thwarted by the police, who were very alert, ready to attack on any form of insecurity.
The brigade widely campaigned for themselves, accusing Jubilee of sidelining Kenyans.
