Justice Hellen Wasilwa on Tuesday asked police to arrest top officials of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU) for skipping the court session.

The union officials were required to appear in court Tuesday for sentencing, after the court found them guilty of defying a court order barring them from going on strike.

Justice Wasilwa ruled that the court had no option other than to issue the arrest warrants.

She asked the Kilimani police boss to enforce the order and ensure the officials appear in court.

Their case will be mentioned on January 12.
