Speaking at the border of Nakuru and Baringo counties, Musiambo warned residents who were still engaging in cattle rustling to stop or face the full force of the law.

“Those who still think that cattle rustling will be business, as usual, must be told that the government declared total war on them and we will not allow people to use illegal firearms to threaten, kill people and steal their livestock,” said Musiambo.

The regional coordinator said the government has taken bold security steps and as a result deployed modern and sophisticated armoured vehicles to deal with armed bandits and cattle rustlers in the counties of Baringo, Turkana, Elgeyo Marakwet, Samburu and West Pokot

“We have enough modern and bulletproof vehicles that can withstand and maneuver in this terrain and we shall come for you if you don’t change,” he said.

Musiambo urged cattle rustlers to think of alternative ways of making a living and desist from the unorthodox and barbaric culture of cattle rustling.
