On Monday, locals led by Bernard Manoti complained of persistent attacks especially at night in the past weeks.
“Armed gangsters have been raiding homes where they attack, injure people and steal property at night.
"We are calling on Interior Cs Fred Matiang’i to ensure more police officers are deployed in the area to beef up security,” said Bernard Manoti.
Manoti attributed the increased cases of insecurity in the area to lazy officers who are not conducting patrols at night.
A trader Mercy Keombe said they are forced to close their businesses at 6 pm to rush to their homes before the gangsters start to operate.
“Thieves start robbing especially traders from 6:30 pm. We are forced to close businesses early to avoid being robbed goods and money,” she noted.
