Police officers have been challenged to beef up security in Kisii town and its environs as the Kisii agricultural show goes on.

Speaking to this writer on Thursday morning in Kisii town residents led by Dancan Mokua urged police officers to take care of residents and children who come to the show as it starts by improving security in town.

“As the show set to begins we urge our government to deploy more police officers in Kisii town and its environs to provide security at high standards,” said Dancan Mokua.

“Different kinds of people will be here, you may find some are coming to steal by terrorising others.We need sufficient security from our government,” noted Charles Maina.

They said that during last year's agricultural show, some cases of terrorism were experienced in kisii and they have showed their fear for the same to repeat and calls on police to provide security for them.
