Nyamira North police boss James Musyimi said any officer who will be found using force on locals will not be spared by the law.

"Police should be good ambassadors of the government when discharging their duties at their respective places of work across the county. No one has been authorized to use force on the residents,” noted Musyimi.

He said police should arrest any suspected criminal and not attacking or assaulting them just because they are armed with guns.

Musyimi faulted three police officers who attacked a boda boda rider in Kitutu Masaba constituency on Saturday and warned that the officers risk losing their jobs.

“Assault is illegal and punishable by law. If the officers who assaulted unarmed rider on Saturday will be found guilty, they will be sacked and be jailed,” he added.
