A policeman caused drama on Wednesday morning after he undressed outside Langata Police station.
Charles Kamau allegedly camped outside the station covered in sack clothes demanding an audience with Inspector General Joseph Boinnet.
Kamau was pleading that he be relieved of his duties due to his poor health.
Langata OCPD Elijah Mwangi confirmed the incident and said the officer had already resigned in January but still lingered around the station.
"He appears disturbed and has been walking around with a bible and a Koran. We have contacted the family,” said Mwangi.
Contrary reports, however, claimed that Kamau is seeking to be reinstated by the IG.
“After staying out of the service for almost a year now, he has been trying to come back in vain. We were surprised to see him outside the station half naked while wearing a sack,” an officer at the station was quoted by a local daily.
This comes amid increased engagement of astonishing acts by police officers across the country in recent days.
