Political fireworks are expected today as two of Rift Valley sons meet during a burial.
Deputy President William Ruto and Senator Gideon Moi, who have both declared interest in running for the presidency in 2022, are expected to share a podium today at the burial of Baringo South MP Grace Kipchoim.
Kipchoim died two weeks ago after a long battle with cancer and will be laid in her home at Baringo.
The meeting between Ruto and Gideon comes only two days after the latter allegedly 'embarrased' the Deputy President at his father's home in Kabarak Nakuru.
The DP had visited Gideon's ailing father but was blocked from seeing him.
The aborted visited has renewed Ruto-Gideon differences which surrounds the 2022 race.
Ruto's allies accuse the younger Moi of declaring his interest for the top seat just to spoil it for Ruto.
The DP's humiliation has also jogged memories of a time when Gideon refused to shake hands with Ruto during an event in Baringo.
A photo of the incident went viral.
