The political temperatures in the country have at last weighed upon the Kenya Premier League forcing a massive reshuffling of matches.

In a communique from the league managers, all matches earlier planned for this weekend have been postponed as the country awaits the political uncertainty to end.

This comes with just four rounds of play left to conclude the league.

"Due to the prevailing political situation in the country which has made it difficult for some teams to travel to various parts of the country to honour matches, Kenyan Premier League has been left with no choice but to postpone Round 31 matches which were to be played on Saturday, 28 October 2017 and Sunday, 29 October 2017," said the KPL letter in part.

KPL also said that all the rescheduled matches will be staged on Tuesday 14 November while round 32 duels earlier slated for Wednesday 1 November will go on as planned.

"The 9 matches will now be played on Tuesday, 14 November 2017. Round 32 matches, which are to be played on Wednesday, 01 November 2017, will go on as planned. KPL is also set to request FKF for scheduling of league matches during the international break. Kenyan Premier League understands the strain this will have on Clubs as the season is set to conclude on Saturday, 18 November 2017, therefore, a request will be made to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to surrender the FIFA weekend of 11/12 November for the scheduling of league matches," the letter added.
