Kisii county Senator Chris Obure has said that differences between political parties among leaders are the main hindrance to development in the region.
Speaking at Kenyenya in Bomachoge Chache on Sunday during a fundraising he said political parties are one major cause for hindrance to development hence that why we have come together regardless the parties to unite the community for development.
“Since we were elected we have been in our political parties which have since hindered development in our region hence we decided to come together as leaders regardless our parties to focus on development," Obure said.
“Our unity will help us have one political party which will help us foster development, we need to focus on development so that we can achieve our goals,” he added
He also said that the Omugusii unity team is open for everyone.
“Everyone has got a share in this group, we urge youths and women to know that they are part of this group," he added.
Former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae echoed Obure sentiments by saying that the group is open to everyone in the society for the better future of the community.
“We urge our youths to know that they are equal stakeholders, “ Nyachae said.
