This comes after the just-concluded bids to select County Elections Boards (CEB) in the Jubilee party were marred with violence that prompted the party’s disciplinary committee to summon four Jubilee politicians including Nairobi’s Senator Mike Sonko.

The party primaries are set for 13th to 26th April and parties are expected to submit the names of candidates by next week Thursday.

Political parties will be vetting and submitting to the electoral commission the names of candidates to participate in the next month nominations from 3rd to 5th of April.

Parties have received applications from members and will clear those to contest nominations for seats in the Senate, National Assembly, County Assemblies and Governor Posts.

IEBC will be required to approve political party symbols and independent candidates’ symbols between May 8th and May 9th. The nominations for presidential and senatorial elections will be conducted from 28th to 29th of May.
