Journalist Abuga Makori Jnr says his life is in danger after receiving several death threats from a woman he has named as Divinah.
The writer wrote on his Facebook page saying the woman is working for a certain politician from the region who wants to eliminate him.
"My life is in danger pals. Please, pray for me. I have received several death threats from a woman by the name Divinah," read part of the post.
Abuga claims the woman has already given out Sh50,000 to a Kisii based militia, Sungu Sungu to kill him.
"I have information that she has paid a militia in the name of Sungu Sungu 50K for the services," he added.
Abuga said the plot was hatched at a Kisii hotel and the woman has now gone to the extent of pay for his death.
"She is not articulating her issues regarding why she wants to kill me. Once again, God protect me," concluded his post.
Abuga who contributes stories to Hivisasa.com, says he has reported the matter at Kisii Central police station.
"Chief Inspector Jonathan Kirui has promised to investigate the matter and take necessary action," said Abuga on Thursday.
