A politician allied to the Jubilee Party has detailed a number of signs that indicate that the National Super Alliance is headed for a major split in the coming days.

Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda has stated that four signs have emerged indicating that all is not well in the opposition that comprises ODM, Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya. In an opinion piece published by KBC, Lesuuda stated the absence of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in major rallies is a sign that the opposition is headed in the wrong way.“Everyone who has been following NASA’s activities could see that the Wiper Party has been missing in action in the affairs of the alliance recently,” said Lesuuda. She also stated that Wiper was sidelined in the formation of National Resistance Movement. She poked holes in the allegations that Kalonzo was in Germany for personal reasons. The former nominated MP stated that lack of Wiper MPs during the product boycott was enough indication that NASA will not stand for long.“Yes. Only ODM MPs were at a key press conference where an important NASA issue was being announced to the country,” she said. Finally, Lesuuda stated that Raila’s announcement that he was not about quit politics in Kawangware was not received well by NASA partners.“Then there is the elephant in the room. A topic so divisive it is being talked about in whispers in the corridors of NASA offices. The Wiper leadership, it is said, is unhappy with Raila’s remarks in Kawangare a few weeks ago that he would only retire when Jubilee leaves power,” she said. The lawmaker stated that the opposition was headed for a split the moment Raila Odinga withdrew his candidature from the October 26 polls.
