Ganze constituency's Kanu MP aspirant Anderson Kenga has claimed that he was kidnapped by unkwon people on Sunday in Tononoka.
According to the Standard, Kenga was found lying on an Indian Ocean beach around Kikambala on Monday morning.
Several reports indicate that Kenga was drugged at a dinner in a hotel where he met with unidentified people.
Good Samaritans took him to a nearby health facility where he regained consciousness and claimed he had been robbed of his mobile phones, national ID card, ATM cards and documents.
Kilifi County Criminal Investigation Officer John Ndungu and Kilifi OCPD Alexander Makau said they had not received reports of the kidnapping.
