Kevin Okwara has asked governor Jackson Mandago to shift focus on uniting Uasin Gishu residents in readiness for 2022.The aspirant who failed to capture the Turbo MP seat on a Jubilee ticket said he would rally behind Mandago to consolidate the votes for Deputy President William Ruto."The season of politics is over! It has been a tough battle and politics can be dirty and injurious. In democracy, the majority have their way and the minority have their say," noted Okwara."I may never have supported you but in a mature democracy I am compelled to rally behind you. We as residents of UG look up to you to provide leadership as we focus on 2022 politics to capture the presidency for Hon. William Ruto. I know I have the muscle and capability to be an asset to you. I assure you my support going forward," he added.Analysts say Okwara, a businessman in Eldoret town lost the Turbo MP seat partly because of his association with independent gubernatorial candidate Zedekiah Bundotich Buzeki.Ethnic arithmetics was also another factor as the native Kalenjin voters who are the majority in the constituency viewed him as an outsider. His roots are in Western Kenya.
