A Nyamira County based politician has rubbished DP William Ruto’s Friday tour to Gusii region.

Wiper Party Vice chairman Victor Swanya ,who unsuccessfully vied for the Kitutu Masaba MP seat during the last year’s polls said Ruto’s numerous tours to Gusii region will not give fruits. 

“Ruto is wasting time touring Gusii region seeking the community’s support in 2022. The Gusii community will not vote for him or any Jubilee candidate for presidency in 2022,” he said.

Swanya claimed that the Jubilee party colluded with IEBC to change election results figures for Nyamira during the last year’s polls in favor of President Uhuru Kenyatta. 

“Nyamira residents voted for NASA leader Raila Odinga but Jubilee with the IEBC team collaborated to change the results in to lie that Nyamira people voted for Jubilee party. 

"It is time Nyamira leaders should unite and distance themselves from DP Ruto who is out dishing money to convince them to support him in 2022,” he said. 

He faulted Gusii politicians who lost during the last year’s polls for misleading DP Ruto that the Gusii community will vote for him in 2022.
