A good samaritan in Kitutu Masaba Constituency has given hope to an orphan who has been multi tasking to pay his school fees.
The student Willis Odeyo has been doing manual jobs during part time hours to pay his school fees; this is despite the fact that he has performed well in Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
Odeyo, a form two student at Riakworo mixed secondary school, has been multitasking to quench his thirst to have secondary school education.
Although he has suffered in form one for now this may come to an end after a good samaritan, Victor Ogeto, has promised to support his education.
Ogeto, a businessman cum politician, said programs were in place to have the student admitted in one of the leading schools in Nyamira County.
“I learnt about his story from a friend and I was touched by what the young man has been going through,” said Ogeto.
“I will seek transfer for him to a better school by next month. He will stay in my house till he completes his education. I want to support him fully,” added Ogeto.
Odeyo welcomed the move and promised to work hard and excel in life.
“I am very pleased with the move and I have no words to thank him. I have just learnt about the news moments ago; this is my chance to shine,” said Odeyo.
Odeyo sat for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education in 2013. He scored 365 marks.
