Kenyan politicians have been advised against visiting former president Mwai Kibaki at his hospital in South Africa.
A source privy to the former president’s health status on Saturday told a local paper that the politicians were advised that it was too soon for them to visit the former state leader at the Netcare Sunninghill Hospital in Johannesburg city.
“They were told it was too soon to travel but they can make arrangements from Monday, August 29, when he should be able to receive visitors,” the source said as quoted by the paper.
Kibaki underwent a surgery on Thursday 25, August to remove a blood clot in one of the arteries in his neck.
He is expected to be at the Hospital for at least one week as doctors monitor his progress.
