Nairobi county police boss Japeth Koome says politicians have been inciting Kenyans not to pay rent destroying relationships between tenants and landlords.
He says that the police are working with landlords to see the issue is resolved.
“We should not be destroying relationships between tenants and landlords, leaders should stop inciting Kenyans,” he said.
He warned that anyone who is found culpable will face the full force of the law.
“We already have evidence of some politicians who have been inciting Kenyans, we will be making arrests soon,” said Koome.
